This NVR is fantastic. Simple setup. Virtually instant detection and inclusion of Reolink cameras. Slim form.I upgraded to two 6TB WD Purple drives for 12TB storage max. Repurposed the included high-quality Seagate 4TB drive as a backup drive in my Desktop.This is actually a 24 Channel NVR with 16 channels of wired PoE and 8 more for Wifi cameras. I have it currently set up with 8 Poe cameras and 4 Wifi (including the Reolink doorbell). All work flawlessly.This integrates seamlessly and near instantly with Home Assistant. Unfortunately the NVR cameras don't appear to integrate or be available to Amazon Alexa - so displaying the non-wifi cameras on a Fire TV Stick won't work unless they're put on their own network switch (which removes the utility of the included NVR PoE switch).The integral network switch means I only need to occupy a single port on my primary network switch. I confirmed the network switch operates like any other, I can run multiple cameras off a single Cat5/6 cable from the NVR, through a PoE splitter and to at least two cameras. I did this when replacing a Duo with two separate cameras. This makes expansion simple after installation if I want a second camera somewhere and don't want to run more cable. Each camera still takes up a camera channel on the NVR and I suspect there is a bandwidth issue if you tried to run too many cameras on a single cable, but this does increase flexibility.I haven't researched if there is a way to automatically dump video files from the NVR onto a NAS for double backup. That would be a nice feature.About the only complaint in the Reolink ecosystem, and one repeated by many, is the notification for an event takes you to the camera live view rather than the motion event. You then have to navigate to find the motion event. Finding the motion event inside the 24/7 recording stream can also be challenging. The tools are there, they just aren't that intuitive.Update: Reolink appears to have listened regarding motion alerts. I just discovered, if you have notifications set up and click the notification, you are now taken directly to the motion clip! My one complaint is fixed!
